Peripheral settlements of České Budějovice district and their human and demographic capital.

The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of human and demographic capital in peripheral and other settlements of the district of České Budějovice. Peripheral and ultra-peripheral settlements are defined on the basis of their greater remoteness by public transport from micro-regional cities. Suburban settlements are characterized by strong construction of suburban houses. Semi-peripheral settlements are the remaining settlements. Peripheral areas arise as clusters of neighboring peripheral and ultra-peripheral settlements (+ settlements without transport connections). Therefore, first necessary was to define micro-regional towns and also lower settlements (very small towns, townships, central villages, major villages and larger villages) by using four indicators of settlements centres - population, services, commuters and transport connections. Secondly, an evaluation of human and demographic capital of settlement types and peripheral areas was made on the basis of several indicators of population development, age structure, education, housing construction, unemployment, business rate and other indicators. There were defined three micro-regional towns, four very small towns, two townships and a number of other lower settlement centres in the district of České Budějovice. Large areas with peripheral and ultra-peripheral settlements (+ settlements without connections) have been created at a greater distance from micro-regional towns. There were defined 15 peripheral areas. Suburban settlements show very favorable values of human and demographic capital, while micro-regional towns and townships show little favorable values. In the naturally valuable landscape on the south of České Budějovice, peripheral areas have significantly favorable values of the monitored capitals, while some peripheral areas around Týn nad Vltavou and in the Novohradské hory Mountains have opposite values.

Bachelor thesis "Transformation of the regional press in the early 90's of the 20th century - region Ceskobudejovicko (South Bohemia)" presents the situation of regional and local press in the region Ceské Budejovice (South Bohemia) in the early 90's of the 20th century. The change (of the content, owner, advertisment etc.) of the regional and local press was observed. The work is divided into the chapters by the type of the press and its target group. Also Syndicate of Southbohemian journalists and its foundation was discribed. The regional and local press is presented in the context of the history and situation of the region.

Offer of leisure-time physical activities for children with disability in the district of Czech Budweis

The aim of this thesis is to provide news about the offer recreational activities for children with mental and physical disability aged 8-15 years in the district of Czech Budweis . The research includes organizations and centers primarily designed for intact children, and my goal will be to find out whether children with disabilities can integrate into these activities. In its theoretical level, the thesis deals with issues of mental and physical disability. Other topics of theoretical part include leisure time physical activities and the very characteristic of the region Czech Budweis. The second part - practical - part of the bachelor thesis - deals with the research in the region Czech Budweis. There was used a public inquiry for the research, which should map the leisure-time physical activities in the region Czech Budweis designed for children with mental and physical disability at the age of 8-15 years. 26 Trainers, 15 Directors, 30 parents of disabled children and 40 intact children took part on the research survey. All research assumptions were confirmed.

Environmental Friendly Accommodation in a Particular Area

The social and demographic development of municipalities in the administrative district of České Budějovice

This bachelor thesis discusses the demographic and social development of municipa-lities in the administrative district of České Budějovice in the period between the fall of the socialist regime and the present day (1989-2014). It mainly focuses on the differen-ces in the development of population, changes in population increase both natural and caused by immigration, advances in education of the population, differences in the age-ing of the residents of individual municipalities in the district, depending on the changes and new trends in the society which came after the fall of communism. The conclusion of this work then pinpoints those municipalities, or groups of municipalities, which have experienced marked demographic or social changes. The theoretical part is focused on introducing the characteristics of the district, the development of individual demographic indicators and the changes in the field of edu-cation and industry in the district of České Budějovice as a whole. The thesis also includes cartograms, which serve to compare the development of de-mographic indicators in specific decades, as well as in the whole period of monitoring the individual cadastral areas. Also included are graphs showing the development of these demographic indicators in municipalities, sorted according to their size groups and also according to the individual categories of municipalities.

Long - term unemployment in the ditrict České Budějovice

Long {--} term unemployment is one of long {--} standing problems of the market economy. This Bachelor thesis follows the topic of long {--} term unemployment in the district České Budějovice and describes its development from 2005 to 2009. In the first part of the thesis we find a definition and a characteristic of unemployment, long {--} term unemployment and terms related with it. There is decribed dividing of unemployment, its reasons even consequences. There are characterized even particular instruments of active employment policy, which are used. The next part of this thesis I devote analysis of statistical data relating with unemployment in the district České Budějovice. I describe the development of the situation at employment market in a given region and I judge shortly even efficiency of usage of instruments of active employment policy in particular years of the period 2005 {--} 2009. In the end I sum finding of facts.

Výskyt vybraného rizikového chování u žáků základních škol v okresech Louny a České Budějovice

Risk behaviour is considered one of the very serious problems of present social development. It has been developing dynamically and the methods used to solve it cannot be evaluated as efficient. This statement does not only apply for the Czech Republic but it affects the whole present society. We are therefore dealing with an international problem. Risk behaviour includes a wide scale of problems representing a great risk in children and youth at present and it has been dealt with by many experts. This phenomenon has been developing without cease and in our society it is a very up to date and discussed issue that should get more attention and more prevention. The diploma thesis consists of a theoretic and a practical part. The theoretic part consists of studied secondary literature and other materials and sources. To carry out the research several methods of collecting data were chosen: quantitative research methods, questioning method, data collection by means of a questionnaire. In the questionnaire several question types were applied: closed questions, semi-open questions, controlling questions and questions the evaluation of which was carried out by means of an evaluating scale. The research file for the questionnaire survey was made up by students of 9th grades of primary schools in the districts of České Budějovice and Louny. In total 593 questionnaires were handed out and filled out in both districts (404 questionnaires in České Budějovice and 189 questionnaires in Louny. The research aimed at providing an account concerning the occurrence of chosen risk behaviour in students of 9th grades of primary schools in the districts of České Budějovice and Louny and at compiling the obtained data and at comparing them mutually. The paper further aimed at finding out sources of information concerning chosen forms of risk behaviour and the rate of impact these sources may have in affecting students of 9th grades of schools in the districts of České Budějovice and Louny and how these sources can motivate students to take part in risk behaviour. To achieve the set goals the following hypotheses have been set: H1: The chosen risk behaviour occurs in a higher rate in students of primary schools in the district of Louny. H2: Information from media, the Internet and friends are for students of 9th grades of primary schools in the districts of České Budějovice and Louny more motivating to take part in chosen forms of risk behaviour than information obtained at school, from the family, lectures and meetings. Results of this paper may serve as information material for headmasters and teachers to achieve better awareness concerning the given issue at chosen primary schools in the districts of České Budějovice and Louny. Further it can be used as a basis for more efficient prevention at the given schools or as material for the needs of teaching and further research.

Labour market in Ceské Budejovice district in relation to foreign countries

The aim of the degree work was to chart the labour market in Ceské Budejovice district in relation to foreign countries and to specify the influences on the development of legal employment of foreigners in Ceské Budejovice district, who had been granted a work permit in last 5 years, and the impact on unemployment in Ceské Budejovice district. It also charts the influence of EU entry and its impact on the outflow of workers from the labour market in Ceské Budejovice district. The main aim is to analyze the examined region and the labour market with regard to professions demanded by the employers. It is about how this affects the legal employment of the foreigners. A comparison of Ceské Budejovice employment agency{\crq}s statistics from the years 2003 {--} 2007 and the surveys, done via questionnaire enquiries, at employers (companies) in Ceské Budejovice who employ foreigners or have the intention to employ foreigners, was made. For purpose of cross-border employing of citizens of the Czech Republic via the employees of the employment agency in Ceské Budejovice arranged a contact with an employee of the given agency Arbeitsmarketservice Freistadt, where we talked about questions concerning the way of employing people from abroad, especially the Czech Republic. Further on an analysis of the questionnaire enquiries and the statistical data assigned by the employment agency was made. The results of the questionnaire enquiries were passed on to the employment agency in Ceské Budejovice for further possible use.
